Boulder Area’s Gift Basket Leader GRANNY SMITH’S COLORADO Kicks Off 14th Anniversary with New Gourmet Product Line
October, 2004 - Longmont, CO
Granny Smith’s Colorado, Boulder area’s custom and Colorado
gift basket leader kicks off its 14th anniversary with the introduction of a new line of gourmet
gift baskets. For the holidays more than 50 new gourmet products will compliment the hundreds of
made-in-Colorado products which will be available. By combining gourmet items either not available
in Colorado, like Alaska smoked salmon, or products more widely known for their point of origin,
like California colossal pistachios, Granny Smith’s Colorado expands the choice of products and
basket styles available to clients on a regular basis.
Two new baskets, perfect for business gifts or home entertaining, are the: “International Cookie
Collection” which includes cookies from as many as 15 countries and “Snacks with Style,” an
upscale selection of munchies (i.e., NY cheesecake with champagne sauce) with an upscale
presentation. “Bronco Colors” is a new basket available in both Colorado and gourmet variations
and contains foods with blue and orange packaging. Holiday favorites that combine Colorado and
non-Colorado products are “Party in a Basket” and “Elegantly Gold.”
For 14 years Granny Smith’s Colorado has created custom Colorado baskets such as “A Taste of
Colorado” and made-in-Colorado products will remain the company’s focus. For example, a new group
of holiday baskets highlights the Aspen tree. These baskets feature a 24K gold plated real aspen
leaf ornament, a gift selected by Colorado’s Governor for his gifts to visiting dignitaries, as
well as other “Aspen” products like candles, candle holders, chocolates and mulling spices. Spa
baskets feature items from Jamestown, Boulder and Fort Collins.
“We are excited to begin our 14th year with many new Colorado products and a new line of gourmet
products not available in Colorado,” says Granny Smith’s Colorado founder and owner, Joanne
Wheeler Smith. “Whether it’s an order for one basket or one thousand, we still provide one-on-one
personalized service. Our mission is to support Colorado businesses and communities by providing
the best products, exceptional value, and superior service.”
Granny Smith’s Colorado accepts VISA, MasterCard, AMEX and business checks, delivers throughout
the Boulder/Denver area, and ships worldwide. Baskets range from $25 to $300 and decorative “theme”
gift boxes range from $15 to $75. Clients may select baskets on line, fax orders or by phone.
