GRANNY SMITH'S COLORADO BEGINS 12TH YEAR WITH ENHANCED WEBSITE
Longmont, Colorado - With the holiday season approaching, Longmont-based Granny
Smith's Colorado begins its 12th year in business, making it the oldest gift
basket company under the same ownership in Boulder and Broomfield Counties.
Since 1991 one of the most significant changes in the gift basket industry
includes the integration of technology, specifically the Internet. On November
1st, Granny Smith's Colorado kicks off this year's holiday season with the
introduction of a totally re-organized website and a wide range of new basket
selections.
"We have always kept customer service at the top of our priorities. Years ago
we were the first gift basket business in Boulder County to offer ordering by
fax and we were the first to offer a website. Our re-designed website makes
basket selection much more customer-friendly. Baskets are organized the way our
clients prefer to shop... by contents, by occasion, by price. We believe our
site sets a new local standard for businesses like ours," states owner, Joanne
Wheeler Smith.
Even though technology has become an integral part of the business, it has not
replaced the personal touch Granny Smith's Colorado is known for. Ordering can
still be a person-to-person transaction. Clients can call to offer their ideas,
make special requests, and ask for advice.
"People are often surprised to find I still answer the phone and will work with
them on an individual basis to create the perfect basket for them," say Smith.
"We may be the biggest in Boulder County, but we make a point to get to know
our clients one-on-one ... even those we may not have met yet."
By introducing new products year round, by giving people a choice in contents
and presentation styles (what works for personal gift baskets is typically
different from what clients want in business gift baskets), by remaining #1 in
Colorado-made product offerings, by providing a choice for individualized and
customized gift basket options, and by adding special order corporate gifts,
Granny Smith's Colorado has become the local leader.
"We are thrilled with the growth in the gift basket industry and the success
our company has enjoyed," says owner Joanne Wheeler Smith. "The reputation we
have built over the last 11 years for enthusiastically providing a superior
product at a fair price makes a difference to all of our clients."
Granny Smith's Colorado has been creating business and personal custom and
Colorado gift baskets and decorative gift boxes for all occasions since 1991.
Its mission is to support Colorado businesses and communities by providing the
best products, superior service and exceptional value in gift baskets, gift
boxes and gifts. Granny Smith's Colorado and its owner have been consistently
recognized in the community including: New Rotarian Pacesetter, Chamber of
Commerce Small Business of the Year, Chamber of Commerce Volunteer of the Year,
and Culture of Giving Business Partner.
